Watch Arctic Ice Cover Hit a 30-Year Low |

A.w.N. | This "stunning visualization" is art not science. Rather than providing actual images this article seems to be hinting towards the lack of reality of what they are saying (and if you don't know I don't have a belief or disbelief in global warming). Besides that this article clearly indicates the shallowness of the modern human. This is a 30 year low! How short sighted are we that we are forced to tremble before a 30 year low of winter sea ice? How on earth is that a legitimate concern when California is nearly out of water, species are lost on a daily basis, rainforest is slashed and burned, wetlands are drained, people are murdered, wars are fought, and on and on. This diversion of the public discussion bothers me a lot. Please remember other issues than just the hypothetical future temperature.

Medical Tools That Spread Superbugs Have to Change

IN THE PAST few months, 11 people in Los Angeles who underwent surgical procedures using a device called a duodenoscope got sick—infected with a so-called superbug called CRE, carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae, likely carried by the scope from other patients the doctors used it on. Two of the CRE-infected patients died, joining the list of the more than 20,000 people who die every year from infections that antibiotics can’t beat. And the people at the highest risk are the ones with the least say in the matter.
